The 2026 PIAA State Championships certainly wasn't short on storylines, including the journey of brothers and Bishop McCort teammates Bo Bassett and Melvin Miller and their ongoing rivalry with the likes of Adam Waters and a powerful Faith Christian Academy program.
This was the last hurrah for Bassett, who was seeking a third individual state title and an undefeated high school career before heading off to Virginia Tech in the fall.
Miller won’t be far behind, but he’ll have one more year in high school to add to his own legacy before joining Bassett on the VT roster.
Then, many fans probably are wondering if this was the year Bishop McCort pulled a reversal and dominated FCA.
